Writer’s Guidelines for 2006 -2007:

All writers should adhere to our guidelines to be considered for publication.  Due to the volume of materials received, writers increase their potential for consideration and publication if they follow our format and guidelines.  Thank you.

Deadlines are three (3) months prior to publication date; earlier entries are more likely to be published. 

Writers must follow topic list for each edition. 

QUERY FOR LISTED FEATURE ARTICLES AS THEY ARE ASSIGNED OR FILLED IN ADVANCE.  

SIZE: General Articles 800 – 1000 words  FEATURE Articles up to 1200 words 

Submissions must be e-mailed to editor@inspiredmoms.com and include Author’s Biography and writing credits up to 100 words.  Please include your Author’s Photo in .jpg/.png/.bmp format.  If you have resources for moms/parents/kids such as books, please include a .jpg image of the front of your book along with pertinent purchasing information.  We will only promote books that are currently in print and widely available to our audience through our affiliates ChristianBooks.com, BooksChristian.com, Lifeway, Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and other major retail organizations.

FORMAT:  Double Spaced, VERDANA (preferred) or Times New Roman Font Size 12 pt.  

TONE: Conversational and Informal.  Please don’t preach, our Moms appreciate friendly-toned articles.  

All articles for Blended Family Moms, Work At Home Moms, Baby Steps, Your Wealth, Your Health, Your Home (Hospitality/Décor), Home School Moms should strive to be as close to the current month’s topic as possible.   

FEATURE ARTICLES are need for our "Growing Great Families" and "Finding Time For Yourself" segments on the Main Page.   Secondary Feature Articles will be spotlighted on supporting e-zine pages.

All Feature Article titles are given as specific ideas for our writers to write about.   Query the editor to ensure that each article is available and not filled prior to writing or submitting.  These opportunities are given by assignment only.

Writers who are desiring to write the feature for "Growing Great Families" or "Finding Time For Yourself" need to ensure that they are sticking to the Topic listed and query for availability for each edition.

For general articles, devotionals,  please use your own creativity while writing within our Writer's Guidelines.   We look specifically for writers who can combine a personal tone, sense of humor and a relevant message into their work to reach a global and diverse audience of thousands of moms in over 30 countries.

Although we will try to respond to as many submissions as possible, it is not likely that we will be able to respond personally to each one.

 All Authors with selected articles for publication will be notified within 3-4 weeks of their receipt of acceptance or at time of publication. Payment will be sent to authors at their given mailing address after publication run of each edition..
