Surviving The Blender™
Letting God Re-write Your Love Story
By Wendy Stewart-Hamilton
...if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed
away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
KJV
A few years ago I
gave a copy of Eric & Leslie Ludy’s book, When God
Writes Your Love Story, to my stepdaughter and
"bonus" daughter Kaile.
Kaile was in those certain years of life where decisions
about love, boys and dating are crucially important to
future happiness.
As I gave it to
her a part of me ached for the girl who was a lot like her
but had made some mistakes. The girl who choose to marry
young, did not marry a Christian and who was left alone
with a young daughter for another woman, one of many
others.
It is from similar
pain that many blended families are born. One or both
partners in a blended family unite from this foundation of
heartache with the common goal of doing it better and
doing it right “this time around.”
The beauty is, it
can happen. God can rewrite your love story, taking the
pain of the past and turning it into blessing.
My prayer, Moms,
as you continue with me and the other writers of
InspiredMoms.com – Blended Family Moms, that you will let
God work in your life, in your marriage and redefine you
as a woman, a wife and a mother and stepmother.
Let God rewrite
your love story.
Warm regards,
Wendy
